Disliked: Bathroom: black mold in bath grouting, bottles of soap almost empty, no plug near a mirror for drying hair, Ladies, who don't want to wash their hair could struggle with using the over-head shower (as I did), the bath plug leaked.Room: VERY small for the price.

We had a nice stay...

Liked: The hotel itself was lovely, the room was recently refurbed and the roof top bar was fantastic.
Disliked: We had to ask at the bar to find out how to check in, but staff were really friendly. While walking over to the hotel check in area, we could hear a loud alarm. The manager checking us in explained it was from a neighbouring building, and she was trying to sort it but if she couldn’t, she would discount our room. We had a “city view” room, so we were facing directly towards the noise and it was quite disruptive. We were planning on maybe going for dinner and coming back to the room but we decided to stay out a bit later in the hopes the alarm would stop (more expensive, but under the assumption we would have a discounted stay!). We came back to sleep and it was still going, it stopped around midnight so stopped us getting to sleep for a good while (we had an early morning next day). Coming to check out, we couldn’t find anyone at the desk but asked a cleaner and they said to just give the key to them, and we would have been charged the previous day upon check in. Checking my bank, we had been charged full price! Went to the restaurant bar to ask who confirmed this.
