A hidden gem and affordable...

Liked: This is an unapologetically simple, well-priced hotel with friendly staff and sea view rooms are available. The hotel is right on the seafront. You just cross the road in front and you're on the prom. From the sea view window, you can hear the waves. I liked the simplicity, also the comfy pillows and large towels. There's a small car park in the back and if it's full you can park on the road. Hythe has a lovely stony beach and a long, wide promenade to walk down. It's a pretty low-key town which I liked. I have recommended this hotel to friends as it is reasonably priced and well-located.
Disliked: It's always hard when the weather is hot and the window only opens a little bit. There is no breakfast but I was travelling so I didn't need it and the receptionist recommended a local place that was much nicer than even a fancy hotel breakfast.

Very quiet, very comfortable

Liked: Excellent reception staff. Beautifully presented room. Have stayed many times as love the location and recent renovations going well.
Disliked: For those less tech savy paying the £30 deposit against damage by debit card, if you don't have any means to pay on phone, is concerning. Would be much happier paying with credit card.

Lovely place to stay beautiful...

Over priced and not looked...

Liked: The way the room was situated , 2 beds down stairs and 1 upstairs.
Disliked: The shower head was broken and after telling the staff ,did not do anything about it and I'm sure they knew about it before I checked in.I have not received my deposit back after 2 weeks now.No breakfast offered for the price.Support call center does not know anything about my deposit and say ring back in 2 weeks.

Great location, very run down...

Liked: The location is great, right on the seafront, just a very tired run down hotel.We bought a drink at the bar to take back to our room which was fine.Couldn't get into the car park but parking on the road was free and there were spaces nearby
Disliked: Our room the lock didn't work, we waited 15 minutes outside the room for someone to come and fix it and then had to move rooms. The hotel is just really run down. We weren't aware lots of work was going on, just looked a mess. The room we moved to was fine, sea view needed the windows cleaning or glass replaced, the beds were the most uncomfortable, both of us woke up with back ache, such a shame such a great location but it looks like it is fit for closure. The lift was scary, we didn't use it again in case we got stuck in there.
