OYO Stade Court Hotel

Absolutely awful, the worst hotel...

Liked: The bed sheets and towels were clean.
Disliked: The hotel smelled bad and the decor was very dated. The upper room of the family room was very hot, all windows were shut on arrival. We opened these and left the fan on when we went out for dinner. In the upper room we could hear the people in the adjacent room clearly. The people in the adjacent room woke me at 2 am talking, then put on an audio book until 6 am which was clearly audible, then were banging about at 7:30 am. I couldn't go and complain as this would have woken my family members sleeping in the downstairs room. So due to the heat of the upstairs room, and the noise from the adjacent room, I got about 4 hours sleep. The people in the adjacent room were talking at a normal level, it was the sound insulation between the rooms that is poor.The shower was pathetic, a dribble. There was no ventilation or extract in the bathroom so it stayed very steamy and clammy.

Unlikely we'd stay again

Liked: On arrival, we were shown to a room which looked fine but within the room there was a staircase to the bathroom. we are both over 70 years of age. so declined the room. The new room we were allocated had a previous guests underwear hanging on the back of the bathroom door.
Disliked: The double glazing had blown so not able to see very much. Respect for our ages in other words are we comfortable using the stairs in the room to reach the bathroom.Invoice states room cost is £166.95 but £180.97 was taken from our bank account a breakdown of expense's would help

Disliked: Rundown,tatty hotel.Peeling paintwork,dirty carpets.Patio door rusted shut,poor Fire info.Fan, kettle,hair dryer,TV all not PAT tested. No tourist information or town map.Unhelpfull reception.No food other than Indian! Curtains jammed in runners. Toiletries consisted of a hand gel dispenser on the wall.

Liked: Been here more than once...it's always good... location is spot on

Liked: The guy on reception was friendly and helpful. We were late and called on ahead and he said no worries he would wait for us etc.
Disliked: A little dated but absolutely fine for our needs

Will definitely stay again

Liked: The staff were super friendly and helpful. I had a great room with a sea view.. the sea is literally just over the road. I love that the hotel is really dog friendly, they even had a treat packet waiting for her.
