Lovely holiday, wouldn’t hesitate to...

Disliked: Everything was great

Although the place was quite...
Liked: Excellent position overlooking the sea and promenade
Disliked: The place is rather dilapidated paint coming off the walls. It was a mission loading WiFi, we had to go on another level and crawl on the floor to activate the QR code. The breakfast was just OK although the toaster has to be replaced

Great Service & Value for...
Liked: We loved the sea view and proximity to town. The advert said private bathroom, so we were pleased to find it was ensuite. Tea, coffee, bottled water and hot chocolate provision was really good and replenished daily. I was pleased to find a hairdryer in the room. The continental breakfast we opted for had cereal, yoghurt, muffins, fruit and toast, which was good. The WiFi worked in the room, after scanning the QR code on the router. The staff were really helpful and attentive to our needs. They were really friendly too.
Disliked: There were only 3 cereals to choose from (cornflakes, alpen and crunchy nut cornflakes). They could have done with another healthy option like bran flakes. Room 3 needed another bedside table, as I ended up using the dressing table stool.

Comfortable stay with lovely breakfast
Liked: The bed was comfy, great shower and breakfast and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We also liked the fact that this guesthouse is run by a charity primarily for veterans but rooms are rented to other people when available, this helps with running costs.
Disliked: Nothing we didn’t like but we were just a bit confused when we arrived, due to the nature of the accommodation, but a lovely veteran who was staying helped us out.

Very good
Liked: Somewhat dated hotel owned by Veterans charity, ideally located on the front with reasonably available street parking. Rooms renovated to a nice standard. Sea-view windows need attention. Decent full breakfast.
