Breakfast a bit pricey.
Liked: Very warm welcome and help with luggage. Taxi booked for us. Rooms very well equipped and comfortable; easy to find.
Disliked: Really needs a lift.

Very disappointed
Liked: Very dirty carpets throughoutbrhe room and hotel, no hot water. Sheets were clean though. Extremely uncomfortable beds. Staff was nice though

Awful place decent location
Liked: Convenient location as I know Bristol well
Disliked: My room codes were wrong so trying to check in late was nearly impossible. Had to call the number on the door at least a dozen times to get through and when I got through eventually they weren't very helpful at all... Started reeling off codes and not really talking to me or making sure I know where I'm going. Also clearly didn't understand anything I was trying to say.The room was also incredibly awful. Dated, damaged and just blech. Carpets in the hallways were all dirty and stained. Room walls were so thin I could hear the others TV's. None of the lights worked in my room but was so fed up by the people on the phone I just went to sleep and left as soon as I could in the morning.

Terrible start - when we...
Liked: Bed was fine for comfort.
Disliked: Room was extremely hot as windows were on restrict its. Room was in attic location and portable fan in room made little difference.

Would never stay here again...
Liked: Location
Disliked: Stuck in top of hotel no lift or help with suitcase to climb stairs. No air con and dingy room and horrible bathroom. Breakfast was awful lukewarm water in the flasks for tea and coffee and very bad breakfast appalling for price of room! Economy stay hotels serve better! Messaged on arrival room was cancelled then said ignore message room available other arrivals were turned away.

Pleasant staff, clean premises, within...
Liked: Pleasant staff, clean premises and good location (within 15 min walk of town centre).
Disliked: Lights did not work in the bedroom (but worked in the bathroom). Not a problem for me, and the staff were kind not to charge me for parking because of this, but having the lights working would be an improvement. The positives outweigh the negatives, and I would not be averse to staying there again.

Good location but terrible accommodation
Liked: Location
Disliked: Room had only one socket so if tv is on we couldn’t use the table fan, boiling water in a kettle, the plug couldn’t reach the socket.Description of the room in the booking.com totally failed us. Room conditions are far less than description.How did they get 4*?

Budget friendly, good location
Liked: Was a little concerned about staying here given recent reviews, but our experience was fine. The hotel is in an old building so there were cracks in the plaster visible in the room, but this is to be expected for this area of Bristol. The hotel was a little run down (could do with repainting and new carpets). Staff were usually on reception and very helpful (particularly Maria and Komal). Check in was easy. Breakfast was basic (nothing cooked fresh) but to be expected for a complimentary breakfast. Overall, would stay again as a budget hotel in a great location.

Not a place to stay...
Liked: The member of staff at the desk tried so hard to help. She was a sweetheart.
Disliked: The hotel assigns you a room without choice or the possibility of change. I got one at the top of the building (climbing 6 flights with my suitcase) and there are no lifts. I was met at the room by a workman trying to fix the lights (this was early evening) - the room was not ready or fit for letting out. I spent a sweltering night - about 35 degrees in the room - with no possiibility to bring in more air from the windows, which are fixed, or air con. Perhaps I was unlucky that it was high summer, but the place is not adapted to customer service. It has automated away any possibility of attending to the details of the situation. I was not allowed to change room and the girl at the desk left at 9pm with no further support.
