Ok stay, would not stay...

Liked: Good location
Disliked: Parking extremely limited, limited taxis, not the cleanest. Some very dated items. Room quite loud due to single glaze windows. Room was hot, there was a fan but it was so dusty there was no way we were using it. Little bit of a botched job for a lot of the converted bathrooms etc

We had a lovely time

Liked: Rooms wear very clean and tidy. Would like to have seen some staff about. As my self and my brother in law are diabetic and we had no wear to store medication.
Disliked: Provide a small fridge for medication.

Disliked: This accomodation is fairly cheap however not very comfortable. The mattress is super springy and hurts your back, the rooms smell of damp and there is not even soap in the rooms. If you dont mind just having the minimum basics covered this place is for you but if you want to be comfortable and stay in a place with breaky then this might not be for you.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff, I arrived early but could leave my bag and got a room upgrade. For the price the room quality is very decent and the location great.

Memory lane!

Liked: We were here 3 years ago, myself and the children loved it! Now, that they are young adults and 1 bigger child, i thought it was a good idea to repeat it. The location near the beach , the train station and self check in access. I don't remember having the issue that i mentioned below on what didn't you like section.
Disliked: A sewer smell. We had windows open overnight on the first night, as it was hot and a fan on. However, the smell become unbearable, at end we closed the windows. On the second night, we closed the windows and it was less smelly.

Never again

Liked: Nothing, it took me over an hour to access the property, multiple phone calls before I could gain access, even after filling out the form
Disliked: Poor customer service, and spent most of the night on the phone trying to gain access to the property

Nice one night stay

Liked: The street is lovely and quiet but really close to station and the seafront. Some lovely little beach cafes and restaurants a stones throw. Room was small but clean and was perfect for an overnight stay. Codes for doors was easy and saved carrying extra keys.
Disliked: Parking was hit and miss we were lucky that we got the last space on the front of the hotel. When we went out in the evening we were going by train but if we needed the car we wouldn't have been able to get out as someone was parked right across the drive. Would have meant a door knocking session had we needed to use it. This isn't the fault of Divine Beach but just be aware that parking is limited but if you want to guarantee swift exits then you can park on the street for free or Westcliff station a fiver a day at the weekend.
