Superb

Liked: It was quiet, clean and comfortable for a 1 night stop. It was on the bus route for a short ride to the City.

Good

Liked: Staff very welcoming and helpful. Cheap. Good location, near bus stops. Large car park. Very clean.
Disliked: Tired, very faded elegance. Seemed quite a weird building when no staff on site. Would feel uncomfortable staying as a solo traveller.

Liked: Staff came out to greet us when we arrived and showed us how to use the mechanism on the front door which had a key pad. The keycode was sent prior to our arrival. He offered to help us with our bags. Along with the keypad which opened the front door and our room, he gave us a key fob for ease. The room was comfortable and in style with the age of the building. The carpet was worn in places but to be expected with the age of the room. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a wet room but adequate. Because of the heat, the room was very stuffy but a fan was provided. Breakfast was delicious and again the staff were exceptionally friendly. We weren't asked if we had any dietry requirements but I told them that I had brought my own milk for tea, I'm sure that if I had asked in advance then this would have been catered for along with gluten free products. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
Disliked: The room was provided with tea and coffee facilities but we had no kettle which we didn't realise until we went to make a cup of tea in the morning by which time was too late to ask for one. The sink, which was in the room and not in the bathroom, must have had a drainage problem because it did not drain very quickly and no plug was provided.

Liked: The location, the room, the bath was beautiful, the views were lush. The breakfast was beautiful, lovely chef
Disliked: Check in all online, not speaking to a human, several messages with different codes for the door confusing. I know it was a new system, so give it time. The door to my room felt open when locked, so felt a little unsafe.
