The Spotlight on Oxford Hotel

Affordable Comfort Steps from Earl's Court

Modern convenience meets classic charm at the Oxford Hotel, located on a peaceful, tree-lined street just around the corner from Earl's Court Underground Station. This budget-friendly hotel is right in the heart of West London, within easy walking distance to top exhibition centres and concert venues. With simple, comfortable en-suite rooms, free WiFi, and leafy views from both the front and back, it's a solid base for music lovers looking to explore the city.

Why Concert-goers love it

Being just a 2-minute walk from Earl's Court Station means you're well-connected to London’s biggest music venues without the late-night commute stress. After the show, retreat to a quiet residential street away from the crowds. The 24-hour reception is perfect for late check-ins, and with lifts to all floors, you won’t be dragging gear up the stairs. Whether you're catching a show at Olympia or heading into central London, this location makes it easy.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking to split a budget room near the Tube
  • Solo travelers chasing a dream gig with easy transport
  • Couples wanting a laid-back weekend near Kensington
  • Fans after a quiet place to crash post-show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want value over frills

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant for dinner, the hotel’s air-conditioned breakfast room serves a simple morning spread—ideal after a late night. With Earl's Court Road just steps away, you’ve got plenty of pubs, cafes, and takeaways within walking distance, many open late. No room service here, but you won’t go hungry with so much nearby.

Nightlife Options

You won’t find a bar in the building, but you’re just minutes from vibrant local pubs and lounges around Kensington, Earl’s Court, and Fulham. Whether you're after a quiet pint or a post-show cocktail, there’s something for every vibe. Live music pubs and late-night spots dot the area, offering plenty of ways to keep the party going.

What People Say

Guests consistently say the Oxford Hotel is great value for the location, with special praise for how close it is to the Tube. Reviewers love the peaceful atmosphere after a busy night out and mention the staff as friendly and helpful. Rooms are described as basic but clean, with many guests happy to trade luxury for convenience.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms here are on the smaller side, and the décor is a bit dated—but that’s part of the budget charm. Breakfast is fairly minimal, and some guests have mentioned that the WiFi can be spotty during peak hours. That said, if you're here for the gigs, you probably won’t be spending much time in your room anyway.

The Bottom Line

If you're looking for an affordable, quiet place to recharge after a concert—just steps from the Underground—Oxford Hotel hits the right notes.

Hasselt to find and beware...

Liked: Good location for what was required
Disliked: Could not find the actual hotel as it shares a front desk with a different named hotel which is not mentioned. Spent easily 40mins with other hotels in the area who were equally clueless. Then after the hassle of finding it (despite using the location provided by Google maps link on the booking.com reservation) I was told a £100 security deposit would need to be paid despite the room being paid for up front prior to arrival. Also for the price I expected breakfast to be included but it was not and it appeared that breakfast was included when doing the booking.com reservation but when I called to check they said no it hasn't been included and take it up with booking.com. I msgd booking.com but they have yet to respond so it was too late given reservation was for same day). I would never book at this hotel again extortionate to hold £100 given the reservation was made for a guest of mine this was a huge stress and even booking hotels via booking.com has become a cautious thing for me going forward given the breakfast situation.

Best value/price!

Liked: The location is truly perfect, our room was modern and renovated and big enough (had twin bed rooms). The wifi worked well, the beds were soft and comfortable, we had everything we needed in the room- and this is big. Everything necessary was there, clean and worked. We also loved that it was cleaned and updated daily, so we came back to a fresh room everyday. There was no bad smell, it always smelled fresh. Would definitely book again, it could be impossible to find a room in London that has this quality for this affordable price.
Disliked: The floors were not cleaned well, we couldnt lock the window, which made us feel a little unsafe as women. On the second night we unfortunatelly had to listen the upstairs neighbors getting intimate.. it was really bothersome. These walls here are soo thin. Please be considerate and look for a hotel that is sound proof.
