Superb

Liked: Lovely period building but modernised discreetly. The rooms were comfortable with a nice bathroom. The breakfast was very nice with a good choice of cooked or continental or cereal.

A good stay overall

Liked: The size of the bedroom & bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The staff were all friendly. Nice surroundings, good for golfers.
Disliked: Some areas very dated with stained carpets and marks on the walls. Food a little overpriced

Room review

Liked: The room was clean and had good facilities for the size. The hotel is within its own grounds away from the main road so there is no noise from passing traffic. There was a small but decent selection of both tea/coffee and toiletries provided for the room which were topped up each day. There was a desk which was helpful for me using my laptop and the room did have a cupboard for clothes storage.The staff I spoke to were friendly, and also helpful in directing me to my room. I would definitely consider staying here again.
Disliked: This was more personal preference for me but I found the room a little on the warm side - I did open the window, but what would have helped the most would have been a thinner duvet for stays during summer months. The bed itself was actually comfortable, but I couldn't keep the whole duvet on as it was too warm.
