Liked: location was good and staff were very friendly and helpful
Disliked: I had made the original booking on the basis of the pool and the inhouse gym. On arrival we found that both were being refurbished. While there was access available to a gym offsite, this was not what I was aiming for when booking. It would have been better if we had been advised of the situation in advance and had the ability to change if desired

Great eclectic get away

Liked: Room service was brilliant. Hot and fresh. GYM offsite as renovating was sublime! Room was ambient, romantically eclectic and very spacious. View was lovelly over the Newstead bustle.
Disliked: Stray hair in the bath tub was off putting so cleaned bath before use.

Liked: Fantastic hotel for exploring Brisbane! Located in a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood. Easy and quick to get there from the airport by train, then it's one bus stop from the local train station. It's also pretty simple to travel into the city centre by bus.Beautifully decorated and huge room, and the staff were super friendly. Self service laundry in the basement was a pleasant surprise after travelling around Australia for a while! Pool on the roof was decent too, and has a nice view of the city at sunset.I didn't try out the lobby restaurant or bar, but they looked great. Would stay here again next time in Brisbane!
