Little uninspiring

Disliked: Breakfast selection and quantity.

Great hotel and staff but...

Liked: Location was great. Hotel has an exciting vibe. Staff were extremely pleasant.
Disliked: I booked this hotel only a few days before arrival, and for one night only. The hotel seemed very exciting as I entered and the staff were wonderful but I was very disappointed in the very small size of my room. I would have felt claustrophobic if I was staying longer. Unfortunately booking.com's offer of an upgrade (one of the reasons I chose this hotel) did not happen, so my disappointment in the room size was compounded. I left before breakfast so I can't comment about that but I did enjoy the service and a couple of drinks in the bar the night before.

Stayed with Ovolo before, and...

Liked: Very good location. Close to train/tram station so very convenient. Cafe, supermarket, shops near by. Hotel is clean and quiet, good furnishing, and felt safe.
Disliked: Nothing really. May be a little more naturally light but it didn't really bother me :)

Exceptional

Small rooms, but otherwise exceptional.

Liked: The location is amazing and the rooms are clean and well set-up.
Disliked: They are very small rooms with no desk space, so if you need to work you have to go to the common area.

Oveall stay is pleasure.

Liked: The location is great; the bed is really conformable
Disliked: The room is fairly small but still manageable. The bed linen has an slightly unpleasant odor, and I noticed something small but sharp—possibly nails—under the sheet. I bought a pillow perfume to help with the smell

Liked: I always love staying at Ovolo South Yarra. The staff are lovely and very accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Fast WiFi, great location and the restaurant downstairs is fantastic.
Disliked: No complaints!
