Overtown Manor Bed and Breakfast

Liked: Ahh Overtown Manor B&B... Now this is a place that I would love to stay again. I travel a lot for work, and this one sticks out in my memory as I catch up with three months of reviews. It was absolutely faultless. Nancy the proprietor is lovely and super-helpful. The house is beautiful, and for a price a little over most bog-standard hotels, this place is superlative. It has a swimming pool in the garden, and a bathing house to change in. It is amazing! The extensive gardens are beautiful and well-kept. The room I stayed in is spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated and finished. The room size is three times bigger than you'll get in most hotels of similar price bracket. Oh and I nearly forgot to mention that Nancy and her B&B featured on Channel 4's "Four in a Bed" programme in late 2024. Sounds like Nancy was too nice to win it though. As someone who has paid to stay at Overtown Manor Bed and Breakfast, I can 100% vouch for its excellence. I hope I will stay again soon, if my ecology/wildlife survey work takes me to those parts. The location is close to the M4, which is very handy. It's so peaceful though.

Liked: A beautiful and relaxing stay. The house is just gorgeous, the gardens were perfectly manicured, the host was warm and welcoming and the pool was a great added bonus!

Superb

Liked: A unique rural & quite unusual 'Hotel' - It is not what I would call boutique but it is very comfortable with many historical features in the common areas and the room that we were in was great. The evening meal was prepared by the owner (4th generation in the family I believe) & was excellent & not expensive. Breakfast was perfect and again prepared by the owner. The grounds are wonderful and perfect for an afternoon or evening stroll & I understand the owner also runs an Equine centre adjacent so Horsey folks are well catered for.
Disliked: Nothing!
