Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel

Good location, misrepresented rooms, nothing...

Liked: Location was great. Right in the middle of waikiki. Not a beachfront hotel though
Disliked: The hotel was more expensive for what it is. The room descriptions are wildly misleading/overstated. They dare to call a room with a tiny view of the water, between other tall hotels, at the far end of the hotel as “partial ocean view”. Very scammy. That was the room that was given to our friends. Our room was supposedly ocean view. At best was what a partial ocean view should be. There was a 20 degree angle of the beach visible, on the side of the building and the rest of the 250 degrees of view was of buildings. Also, the hotel’s industrial sized ACs were just under our room and they were very noisy. We have to request to change rooms because it was unacceptable and in combination with the view it was ruining our stay. To the hotel’s credit they did switch us rooms the next day but at no point they were apologetic or did anything to compensate for the terrible first day. The attached pictures are of the partial ocean view and the ocean view rooms The parking was only valet and it was one of the more expensive rates in the city compared to other hotels. Other hotels let you park yourself which saves a 30% in parking fees. It wasn’t enough that the rate was high they were also charging taxes for parking

Liked: I had a fantastic stay at the OUTRIGGER Waikiki Beachcomber. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Waikiki, steps from the beach, shops, and restaurants.My room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with a great bed and a partial ocean view. The hotel has a fun, tropical vibe and the staff were always friendly and helpful.I especially enjoyed the rooftop pool and the attached café — perfect for morning coffee before heading to the beach. It’s a great place to stay if you want comfort, convenience, and a relaxed Hawaiian atmosphere. I would definitely come back!

Disliked: We loved the property so there isn’t anything wrong with it. Only thing that I can say is wrong would be the size of the pool

Liked: The cafe was fantastic. They made great cocktails. The location of the property was perfect and close to shops, beach and restaurants.
Disliked: The bed room had two double beds rather than a queen. My husband and I had to sleep in separate beds because the double bed was way too small.
