Liked: The hotel was cozy, mostly quiet, and we slept very well! Breakfast was great!
Disliked: The water pressure in the shower was pretty low, it was down to a trickle at times. I believe they are doing some plumbing upgrades so hopefully that‘s a tenporary problem… Also, breakfast was pretty early on weekdays - we would have wished for a slightly later time because we got back to the hotel pretty late.

Liked: Friendly staff, delicious complementary cooked breakfast, good sized room that was pretty clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was huge. Tea, coffee and biscuits refreshed every day. Big lounge downstairs. Great location near a train line and buses. An asda is near by if needed.
Disliked: Room could do with a repaint at some point. Lighting in the bathroom could be better. Pretty minor things overall.

Disliked: No ground floor rooms and no lift. Hotel needs a refresh, chipped paint etc.

Liked: The lounge, bar and breakfast areas were good
Disliked: The mattress was not comfortable, I had to ask for another duvet to sleep on top of it for the second night so I could get some sleep.The water pressure in the shower was very week

Great bnb style hotel for...

Liked: The lady who served us when we arrived was lovely and very accommodating as we needed to check in early to get the keys. She was very helpful. The hotel and room were nice and clean, although a bit old fashioned (not that it's a problem). The room was also surprisingly sound proof as we didn't hear anyone walking around in the morning (which you might have expected from a building like this). There's parking around the back which is useful too, but good bus and rail connections nearby. The breakfast we had the next morning was tasty, and they have a good little selection of hot food and cereals. Also good that it's included in the stay.
Disliked: There wasn't much to dislike except maybe the style of the rooms. The mattress was a bit springy but I still had a fine night's sleep.
