Liked: Service was truly superb, food was good and prices were fair.Car parking was free with registration.Emma, our hostess was simply wonderful, looking after our needs and displaying a surprising physical strength.
Disliked: Our room although adequate was very small. The bed - the most important part of a hotel room - was perfect and we enjoyed great sleeps. However it was a very, very small room and we often bumped into corners or edges.

Good location, but it's all...

Liked: The staff were lovely. The location is good. The beds were comfortable and there was planty of hot water.
Disliked: The pub looks very tired: the outside desparately needs a hugh amount of TLC. The rooms are OK, but the tea-making area - well you had to use the windowsill. The inside of the pub was clean, but again very dated. An historical building like this could look wonderful. I've paid the same amount of money for much better pubs and hotels.
