Liked: Their breakfast was decent . The room was clean and appeared modern. Location was also convenient.
Disliked: We only stayed for one night , and we informed the hotel via our booking that we are celebrating our anniversary on this trip. We showed up super late due to delays in our travel and arrived around midnight. We checked in at the front desk and as we got ready for bed, we noticed that our toilet did not work. It could not flush . I called the front desk and they said they will have someone come tomorrow morning to fix the problem. I told them that I understand they cant call anyone over overnight, but is there an option to switch a room or some other way because both me and my partner had to use the bathroom. They said no, there are no other rooms available to be switched. My partner and I held our bladders and colon the whole night and did not get good sleep because of that unfortunately.We wake up, check out later to be told by the other front desk that there is a public bathroom on their first floor that we can use. We were not informed about this until AFTER we checked out. Also, no one even came by in the morning to check out the room when we checked out at around 8/9am. I then contact the hotel directly about the experience and requested a partial refund as we paid over $200 for one night stay, and they said that it was our responsibility to figure out the bathroom situation as there was a public restroom on the first floor. I Told them that we were never informed about it even after asking about our options with the receptionist who never brought it up to us. They then later said that the toilet was indeed working. NO IT WASNT. WHY WOULD WE TORTURE OURSELVES IF IT WAS WORKING???DO NOT BOOK HERE. ESPECIALLY for something romantic. There are SO MANY other hotels in this area that are more affordable, in the same area, equally good breakfast, clean for cheaper. This was our second stop back at Barcelona. So we had originally stayed at a different hotel in this exact neighborhood 1wk prior and we wish we booked with them instead. Check my recent reviews.
