Disliked: I was disappointed that there was no room cleaning performed during our 2 night stay. Would expect at least fresh towels etc daily as a matter of course in a five star property.

Lovely stay - but beware...

Liked: Great location, good sized rooms, nice staff, good vibe
Disliked: Service charges - applied without contest in the coffee shop, despite being served over the counter. Completely hidden but was refunded after I objected. Was asked on check out if I would like to pay a service charge to go to the staff for each day I stayed. Said no, staff were good but service should come with staying in a hotel.

Liked: Everything, but especially the staff ! Helpful, correct and friendly

Great hotel

Liked: The hotel design is beautiful and the staff are friendly.
Disliked: They added an optional service charge to the bill which is 5% of your nightly rate for every night of the stay. This wasn't something that I knew of in advance of staying there. If this is required so the staff are compensated fairly then please add it to the total cost of the room in advance. It's an awkward conversation for staff and customers to have this removed and leaves a negative ending to an otherwise lovely stay.
