Liked: This property is centrally located for many downtown Austin/capital activities. The room was clean and updated. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom tub and shower were really lovely. Rooms have a small fridge and Keurig. If you opt out of daily cleaning they donate meals to a shelter. You will get a text from the housekeeper asking if you need anything though so you can request more coffee, towels etc easily without cleaning. The rooftop pool and bar is small but a nice place to relax. There is a lobby bar/restaurant and a coffee shop. Half the building is offices so the very tiny sundry shop is not open very late. However, there are several convenience stores within a couple of blocks. If noise bothers you, request an interior room. You’ll still have light and city views from the atrium but will be sheltered from street noise. Austin is called the live music capital for a reason and there are a number of bars/restaurants nearby playing loud music late into the evening.
Disliked: Lack of a decent sundries shop is a con but not a big deal. Parking fees are insane (~$70/day) and close to $30 for a couple of hours. We were visiting family and they couldn’t park and come in given the cost. This is an issue generally in downtown Austin though. We paid $43 for parking just to go to dinner one night. It’s honestly cheaper to use ride share most of the time. .
