Comfortable and friendly place to...

Liked: The hotel is designed around Oliver Twist with quotations on the wall. We never did find out the significance. Nicely decorated and a friendly atmosphere in the bar/ restaurant area. The food was lovely and the staff amazing. Thanks to Emma for a warm welcome and looking after us, as well as to the cook and staff at breakfast. Our room was spacious with a large ‘wet area’ bathroom and we could park outside the door. There is the usual array of tea and coffee in the room with great biscuits. Free WiFi is available.
Disliked: The bed was a shocker. Soft mattress with no support and a very creaky bed which woke us up if we turned over! The walls are very thin. I didn’t enjoy listening to the neighbours using their bathroom and felt uneasy using ours for the same reason. The bathroom was furnished with a shower curtain which personally isn’t something I like. Probably due to the fact that it was a wet area. The flooring needs replacing as it is coming away from the walls. There is some noise from the car park as customers come and go, as well as from the nearby main road. The location is a drive to anywhere. Quite an isolated location.
