Maggie R, Devon, visiting Widcombe Social Club Bath
I had a lovely night's stay - the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The room was cosy and the breakfast beautifully cooked.
Disliked: Nothing.

Charming in every waym
Liked: This charming B&B was perfect for me: steeped in history, off the beaten path yet near the center of town, great staff (especially KC), and air conditioning in my room! Booked on booking.com at a great price too.
Disliked: No elevator

Very comfortable and good value...
Liked: Large single rooms available with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. I had a continental breakfast which was great value. Although out of the main centre it was an easy walk into the shops/centre.
Disliked: Car park was a little tight. Would have also been good to know that entrance was on the corner.

Lovely, would book again ,...
Liked: Loved the character and attention to details.Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Booked some friendsIn a room with no window, and felt guilty about that. Also one had to be pretty agile to use dark entrances to lower basement suites

Very underwhelming given the price....
Liked: Good location though parking at the property is extremely tight; a 10 minute debacle just to get off the driveway due to other residents vehicles parked poorly. It’s a Victorian property with a ‘bottleneck’ driveway.
Disliked: The price was inflated due to the Robbie Williams gig at the Crescent. The staff member who checked us out commented about the price - she obviously wasn’t aware that the tariff had been doubled for those dates. Over £400 for a one night stay, but it was the same across the city of Bath that weekend and we wanted to attend the gig. Caveat Emptor, music lovers - the hospitality vultures are circling! Nice enough B&B, the staff were pleasant. The room was fine though the shower leaked, the bathroom light over the mirror didn’t work and the overall ambience was a little tired. Wouldn’t stay there again. Stayed at a similar venue directly opposite Oldfields House over the road in 2022 for a Michael Buble concert and the price and level of accommodation represented better value for money. We chose Oldfields House based on their webpage - definitely wouldn’t stay there again, bless them. It was a bit like a Torquay guest house for the bewildered.

Lack lustre
Liked: Breakfast was okay, toast could have done with being a bit more cooked. My wife’s meal was cold
Disliked: Taps in the sink were really hard to turn on. Obviously very old and worn which to me describes the hotel decor in a nut shell. Car parking charge I don’t get it.
