Pleasant B&B

Liked: Breakfast was good with many choices.
Disliked: Late night Street noise made it difficult to fall asleep. One of the twin beds wasn’t completely made. Not sure if it was changed. Not an issue because I slept in the other bed.

Liked: Nothing, it was in a terrible location and the building smelt like mold. It instantly triggered an asthma attack and we did not end up staying there. On top of that the owner was extremely rude and berated us because we arrived at the agreed upon early check in time. Overall it was a terrible experience.
Disliked: Please see above. Terrible location, moldy building, rude owner.

A great historic B&B

Liked: Tina provides a most welcoming grand old mansion, a glimpse into the past, while she serves up a individualized breakfast with all the trimmings. We were able to walk to nearby pubs and restaurants for the evening.

Liked: Tina was a great host, he has a wonderful house with all the original millwork, patterned plaster walls and more. The bed was very comfortable compared to the rock-hard slabs at most places. If I find myself in Troy, we will most definitely stay again.

Liked: Host was lovely & chatty & provided a very tasty breakfast. Other guests were pleasant to dine with. House could be charming & has an interesting history.Parking area was well marked & felt safe.Private bathroom was great.
Disliked: Room had a bed & a futon which were not very comfortable. The television did not have an on/off button anymore & the instructions said to turn on or off you had to put your finger in the hole where the button used to be & push. Did not feel exactly safe with that. I understand that it is hard to keep up with everything, but this place could be wonderful with some updates; i.e. paint, new tv's, new towels (very scratchy). Not talking major reno, just some freshening.
