Overnight stay for a friend's...

Liked: The room was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet at night time. The staff were pleasant and helpful.
Disliked: Breakfast was very limited but adequate.

Wouldn't stay here again.

Liked: Clean, nicely decorated, quiet.
Disliked: Main problem was the terrible bed. Felt every bedspring and rock hard so couldn't sleep and back ache. Shower also really weak. Disappointing that the milk in fridge for breakfast cereal was UHT.

Liked: Easy access, good communication throughout booking. Good facilities and lovely decor throughout.Location was a useful base to travel out to the local area.
Disliked: Although warning of creaky rooms is listed, we didn't quite anticipate how creaky. We had guests in the room above us and the noise and creaking transferred through until the early hours. However, I appreciate this is not the hotels fault, maybe some reminders provided to the upper rooms would help this.

Just about ok....

Liked: The accommodation was in a nice area.
Disliked: The experience was impersonal.Before our arrival, I phoned with a query and nobody responded to my message. Apart from the cleaner there were no staff on site. On our first morning, the fire alarm went off.My partner is an electrician, so was able to reset it.What were we meant to do/ contact if he wasn't there?
