Lovely comfy room with everything...

Liked: Fabulous room. Booked a classic room and were lucky enough to have a little private courtyard. Bed linen, bed, rainfall shower were lovely. Parking was easy as we'd pre-booked. Relatively good location.
Disliked: We didn't book breakfast but when we went through the restaurant at breakfast time it seemed a little formal. Even though we pre-paid, on checkout we were asked if we would like to pay a service charge (we had not eaten or had a drink in the hotel) and they said it was for housekeeping tips. I felt obliged to pay (not that I was pressured at all) but feel it is worth noting. Our room had a lovely outside seating area (room 10) but it was next to staff entrance so was a little noisy. It also backs on to a church which was quite noisy late afternoon of people hanging around.

Wonderful!

Liked: Room was excellent- modern, large, lovely amenities, and comfortable. Close to indoor restaurant & outdoor patios. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.Walking tour was so informative re history of the university, houses and architecture. Scones and tea a delicious, authentic bonus. Truly enjoyable. Much appreciated!
Disliked: Menu was limited for me- a Canadian. Luckily I am not a vegetarian. Fruit outside the room much appreciated.

Perfect (if a touch pricey)

Liked: Beautiful, comfortable, understated but classy. In a superb location. Staff are just brilliant
Disliked: Banbury road noise can be a bit annoying but there’s not much the hotel can do about that!
