Liked: Restaurant settings were very good.
Disliked: The evening food could have been considerably better, in particular the chips were overcooked, and the mint ice cream lacked a mint flavour. The waffle was like a hard biscuit.

Disliked: On arrival were informed the restaurant was shut for dinner, do to it being too hot !

Liked: Breakfast was good, location is wonderful, pleasant communal space downstairs.
Disliked: 109 is a bit stuffy. The decor is a bit tired and ready for refurbishment. The billiards room is still out of use.The piano needs tuning!

Liked: This is a hotel with a wonderful location on the beach. You walk through the sand dunes. There is a sea view. The overall feeling is of an old fashioned family seaside holiday destination. The Dune cafe is beautifully positioned with a view of the sea. The food is good English. The beds are very comfortable. Good car parking for the hotel guests.
Disliked: The decor in the main areas is quaintly old fashioned and quite basic.

Superb

Liked: Perfect location,super friendly staff with live music in the evenings.
Disliked: When spending over £200 per night on a room,you would expect breakfast included in the price,not having to pay £18.50 each ☹️

Liked: The breakfast was good and the staff excellent
Disliked: On arrival 2pm we could not get a drink in the bar as it did not open until 5 pm we were told to use the Pub next door. Although in previous visits we have just the restaurant and bar for food this was not available and only the pub next door was. Expecting to be seated in a restaurant/bar and our order taken and served we ended up having to queue up at the bar etc not a relaxing setting. Also the food was just pub grub. Cleaning left a lot to be desired and the inside and outside lacked tlc
