In the center of picturesque Buxton in the heart of the beautiful Peak District the Old Hall Hotel features a traditional restaurant free Wi-Fi and spacious rooms with period features. With individual character and elegant decor the rooms at Old Hall each have tea/coffee facilities and a TV with satellite channels. This Historic building dates back to 1576 when Mary Queen of Scots stayed at the hotel and sampled the healing properties of Buxton's famous spa water.

Liked: Little corridors very quirky.Lovely staff very pleasant
Disliked: Bed was uncomfortable. Breakfast was plentiful but over cooked.Sausages had an unusual taste.

Beautiful old hotel. Highly recommended.

Liked: Great location in the centre of a beautiful Georgian spa town. I'd accidently booked a twin room, but the receptionist offered us an adjacent double room (18) which was perfect and had a great view over the Pavilion Gardens. It looked like the rooms had been recently been refurbished to a very good standard, with period inspired furnishings. The bed was firm but offered a great sleeping experience. Far better than home. Breakfast is a buffet offering and the food was freshly cooked and high quality produce. The service was impeccable. All round GREAT. You can also bring your four legged friend if you wish.
Disliked: Nothing really. You'd be nit picking to find a genuine fault.

Great location and reasonably comfortable...

Liked: Nice Breakfast. Room comfortable with all the facilities. Great location right next to the gardens and town centre
Disliked: Menu choice for dinner and breakfast was a little limited.

Nice overnight stay.

Liked: Breakfast was very good, great choice and quality produce.
Disliked: Understandably an old large building but in need of a little tlc.

Liked: Location in the town centre. Perfect.
Disliked: The room was very dirty. Cobwebs ganging from the bedroom reading lamps.

Good

Liked: Lovely old hotel. Quaint rooms, plenty of history. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is excellent.
Disliked: Very noisy outside the hotel. Tourists and locals out for drinks etc. We were woken up a few times during the night and early morning from staff coming into work etc. Bring your ear plugs!
