Liked: It was fascinating in its history, beautifully presented and the reception staff were lovely
Disliked: Breakfast could have been more varied in its buffet options but that’s a minor issue

Disliked: Rear extension out of keeping with the rest of the hotel. Also, hard to regulate the heating in the room

Liked: The Staff members were excellent. They were polite & helping. The breakfast was great too. Our server was quick & gentle.
Disliked: Wifi sucks, no range at all in our room. Heating was of no use. Bathroom was clogged. Room rent of £189 for one night, no way.

Stunning hotel in a perfect...

Liked: The staff were all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Helen, who recommended the Arboretum to us which was a few miles away - a beautiful place especially if you have a dog to walk. The decor is absolutely stunning, the food was wonderful (breakfast and dinner faultless) and it was a real treat to stay at the hotel.
