Disliked: Extremely disappointing and unsafe experience – avoid this hotel at all costsOur stay at this hotel was by far the worst travel experience we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, things were completely unacceptable.At check-in, the receptionist appeared to be under the influence of drugs – she was incoherent, made disturbing comments (including suggesting we could end up in jail for no reason), and seemed entirely disoriented and unaware of her surroundings. She handed us a key card to a room that was already occupied. We accidentally walked in on a guest who was already staying there – late at night – which was not only terrifying for us, but completely unsafe for everyone involved.The hallway leading to the rooms was filthy – the carpet was visibly stained, uncleaned for what looked like months, and there was a strong unpleasant odor throughout. When we finally received a different room (after multiple attempts), it was equally appalling: the carpet was dirty and stained with what appeared to be blood, the bed linens had not been changed, and there were marks and dirt everywhere. We even found ourselves covered in bites from bedbugs or mites and have had to use medical creams since.We felt completely unsafe and uncomfortable during our entire stay. The condition of the room and common areas was unacceptable, and basic hygiene standards were clearly not being met. This place should not be allowed to operate as a hotel – it was more like an abandoned, neglected building than a place for guests.I strongly advise others to stay away from this property. It was not only dirty and mismanaged – it was dangerous.

Liked: Close to store. Close to mall. Area quiet and not dangerous.
Disliked: No soda machine. Breakfast has cereal which was amazing. But no continental breakfast. Not really anywhere in Chicago. Subway was near.

Liked: I was stranded in Chicago during the storm on May 21, 2024, when my flight was canceled in the middle of the night. In need of urgent accommodation, I made a one-night reservation at 11:20 AM and selected a check-in time between 00:00 and 01:00. However, after completing the payment, I received an email stating that the hotel could not accommodate that check-in window.I immediately reached out via email to cancel the reservation and request a refund, explaining that it would have been impossible for me to arrive before the check-in closed at 00:00. Unfortunately, I never received a response. As a result, I lost the full amount of the reservation. I had to make another reservation and pay again for a night at another hotel. If the hotel does not accept check-ins between 00:00 and 01:00, that option should not have been available during the booking process. Neither the hotel nor Booking.com responded to my concerns, leaving me out of pocket and stressed after more than 20 hours of travel.

Liked: It was right in the vicinity where I wanted to go.
Disliked: The room that was allotted first was not even cleaned from the previous night use by someone else. Then it was changed to another room where the sofa was torn. The bed sheets and towels looked as if they were not washed at all
