Night away visiting friends in...

Liked: Beautiful building in lovely gardens well kept . Outside bar area and original features of the property . Our room was in the loft area , clean , air con , views over the gardens , bed comfy . Breakfast was very nice , well cooked and plenty of options . All staff seemed pleasant and helpful especially the lady that served us breakfast . Bar was comfy / cosy . Our 3rd stay here says it all .
Disliked: There was nothing we didn’t like but if we were picky it be the pillows on the bed , they were lumpy and not too comfy .

Liked: With a little further attention to detail the hotel could be superb. Staff were friendly, Jake in particular (young barman / kitchen help) was great.The room was lovely, had everything we needed, lots of space and clean.When we arrived the outside terrace area was quite messy with leftover glasses and food plates.The evening meal was good, but we did expect more from the food. Breakfast had a good selection and was better. The setting of the hotel was really nice and we would stay again.
Disliked: Evening meal could have been better, and there was too much furniture in the bar area, felt very cluttered.

Great stay at Oddfellows. Wonderful...

Liked: I spent two nights at Oddfellows as a guest at my cousin's wedding. The room was super clean with original decor, a very comfy bed and great shower room. We had dinner there one night which was delish and breakfast was a treat. I always like a full English. Beautiful grounds for the wedding activities on the day including a game of cricket. But the best thing was the staff. Without exception they were helpful, prompt, responsive and caring - and that was just my requests!. It made such a difference to the stay overall and we all appreciated it and of course such care helped make the special day for the bride and groom even more special. Thank you!

Liked: Great location in the park with lots of amenities close by. Loved the pitch and putt that was on the doorstep. Food, service and accommodation was superb and I would highly recommend it!

Good

Liked: Room OK, staff OK, it just lack a few finishing touches, no tissues in the room, no case rack and no slippers and bath robes. These are things Iwould expect in a premium type room.
