Wonderful quiet and sheltered place...

Liked: The view is extraordinary. We were fortunate enough to watch three sunrises whilst zipping coffee from our very private balcony!
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Owned by a local family and greeted warmly by Chris; Chris quickly helped us change kayak tour days due to rain coming in; we were offered fresh milk for our coffee/tea in chalet - wonderfully appreciated touch; room has floor to ceiling windows with beautiful view of lake/island; wooden porch with small table and 2 chairs; electric blanket on bed; 4 pillows; extra blanket; 2 portable electric heaters; ceiling fan; coat rack for hanging clothes; table and 2 chairs inside chalet; small fridge, microwave, toaster; plates, cutlery; water in shower was hot and there was good water pressure; wooden beams in ceiling and wooden wainscoting around walls - so cozy; thought went into furnishings and art to display local flair; easy to walk to 2 restaurants and to Abel Tasman kayaks; a quaint chalet with everything thought of!

Great location from which to...

Liked: beautiful location and stunning views from the chalet. Very well laid out so that each chalet is very private.Thoughtfully designed rooms which were immaculatly presented.Lovely, friendly and helpful hosts.

Wonderful location

Liked: Ocean View Chalets are located in a wonderful location overlooking Sandy Bay. We booked one of the small studio rooms and whilst they are small it still had everything we needed. Marahau is a great location for exploring the Abel Tasman area. Great walks and plenty of opportunity for kayaking etc. There is a small store selling the basics and a bar serving meals. We would happily have stayed longer.

Best accommodation at the start...

Liked: Best place I stayed in the South Island. Amazing views, so much space, lots of very thoughtful extras, delightful staff, comfy beds, and much more. Can’t say enough good things to describe this property.
