Ocean Resort

I was only disappointed because...

Liked: Beautiful property on the ocean with a huge yard and some nice landscaping plus a steam room inside.

Superb

Liked: No breakfast - drinks, coffee, tea a nice feature
Disliked: Bed was too high - a handicap for mobility impaired senior citizen. Similarly the toilet is too low for a senior, and no hand rail. A walk in shower would be nice (senior)

Great views from the room...

Liked: Excellent view, nice garden, comfy beds.
Disliked: The bed was placed on the wrong wall. If switched, I could see the ocean and mountains lying in bed! Please move the bed in room #102 on the other wall so people can enjoy beautiful views lying in the bed!

Liked: It was clean, comfortable, great staff and it was on the water.
Disliked: Nothing

Good

Nice location but dated.

Liked: Hotel is on the beach with great morning light. The grounds are really pretty with a rock maze and loungers facing the beach.
Disliked: The hotel needs an exterior cleanup due to winter and windstorms. There was no housekeeping during my stay due to staffing issues. Staff was unhappy about current work situations and discussed openly.

Overall a nice place to...

Liked: We spent two nights at Ocean Resort and really enjoyed our stay. The location is really good, with a peaceful garden right by the water. Rooms were spacious, very clean, and there is access to a washer and dryer. The staff was super friendly, and it’s just a short drive (10–15 min) to Campbell River. Only downside: the rooms are quite noisy, you can hear everything from next door and above. Otherwise, a great place to stay!
