O'Brien Riverwalk Boutique Hotel

On our arrival, front desk clerk was nice and courteous. Rooms were clean but we thought it was too small. Beds are marked queens but felt like full size beds. I was not too impressed with our room.

Liked: Walking distance to river walk.
Disliked: Small room and needs a lot of structure repairs.

Liked: We’ve stayed here several times I raised an issue with a certain room and it was addressed immediately and nicely done.

BEWARE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Disliked: Due to a booking error (my fault- time zones) arrived a day earlier. O"Brien helped out and made a room available BUT insisted I pay up front, despite me having already paid via Booking.com. with the understanding I sort this out with Booking.com directly. Contacted Booking.com who contacted O" Brien for confirmation they could cancel original booking free of penalty. RADIO SILENCE from O"Brien . So effectively will pay twice for 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there! Of course no one answering their phone! BEWARE!!!!

Disliked: The front office desk person when I was checking out was kind of rude and kept asking me questions while I was trying to leave. Was asking if my dog was a service dog and I ended up having to tell him would you like to see the paperwork?

Not for Me

Liked: The staff is great.
Disliked: The hotel needs serious updating. The hotel and rooms are severely outdated and smell. The parking is sketchy.
