Just the ticket.

Liked: Friendly staff, great restaurant and bar. I took my dad to visit relatives, and he felt very at home there, which was very important. Really liked the peace, clean rooms, tea and biscuits - what more could you ask? Very close to local attractions, too.
Disliked: The external private toilet for one of the rooms was a bit cumbersome, but it is an old building, and this is identified on the booking.

good but no sleep

Liked: very good location, only 15 mins on train from edinburgh centre
Disliked: weather meant room was excessively warm, we opened the window to allow air in but a condenser fan beneath our window meant a few of us didn’t sleep as it was so loud

Great staff, premium rooms, a...

Liked: The property from the outside looks very nice. The bar was beautiful and the rooms spacious. A very luxury hotel. The staff were kind and accommodating, and the atmosphere was fantastic.
Disliked: Nothing.

Acceptable compromise for Edinburgh when...

Liked: Nice. light room, Pub downstairs.
Disliked: Very loud hetpump compressor outside the window. It was running all night and filled the room with vibration... It needs to get fixed.

Superb

Liked: Chevking in and out was ok. The staff and manager were nice. The hotel rooms were spacious and neat. The hotel location was close to Edinburgh airport and the city centre. Good accessibility..The hotel was cool with a restaurant and relaxation area at the back.

Noisy and Overpriced for what...

Liked: Large room comfortable bed
Disliked: The ‘hotel’ is really a pub with rooms above. As such, with the weather being so sunny meant that the beer garden made it noisy in the rooms. We felt it was overpriced for what it delivered. We would not be returning or recommending it to anyone.
