Really lovely. We will definitely...

Liked: The room was fantastic and the breakfast absolutely delicious. Liked the fact that we could park right outside our room in the courtyard. Grounds amazing as well.
Disliked: Pillows were very hard and uncomfortable with no others available to swap, but its not a problem as we will bring our own next time. Also I really wanted a soak in the bath but I was unable to get the water warm enough.

It wasn't a smooth stay.

Liked: Great location, the hotel itself is great with a good bunch of staff members, with those on reception at a higher caliber than the rest.
Disliked: The weekend was a surprise for my girlfriend, I requested extras such as strawberries in the room and a birthday cake etc. However, numerous times these were forgotten, for example our dinner. We waited 50 mins between our starter and main and nothing was mentioned about how long things were taking until i requested the bill, to which I was then offered an apology drink, which we accepted in the bar, however this took 20 mins of us just sitting there. It was a bit awkward and embarrassing, they forgot us again. Then the morning breakfast we were told (in front of my girlfriend) that they forgot our strawberries in the bedroom the night before and if we wanted them now..... so three times we were forgotten and I wouldn't say the hotel was exactly rushed off its feet in the peak of the season. Such as shame as we loved everything else. We'd love to stay again and bring our dog but would worry about the booking being forgotten!!!

Brilliant hotel, helpful and friendly...

Liked: The room was amazing. Lovely views. The restaurant food was amazing.
Disliked: The service in the restaurant in the evening wasn’t the best during dinner. A little slow and unfortunately a little hard to understand the English of the waiter.

Pleasant

Liked: Ok but couldn’t even provide a croissant for my husband to take back to his room for his birthday breakfast as they had run out
Disliked: Only 2 tea bags and 1 pack of biscuits for a deluxe room I thought this was lacking

Liked: A beautiful hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated, very spacious and extremely comfortable. Heated underfloor heating in the bathroom, dressing room area and the room being very quiet at night made this hotel stay that extra bit special. The dinner and breakfast in the restaurant were delicious. The hotel grounds are beautiful. It was lovely to be able to wander in the kitchen garden to see the home grown produce that literally makes it to your plate. The staff at the hotel were all amazing. Every single one of them was cheerful and happy to help. The front desk staff and restaurant staff had impeccable manners.
