Liked: This was a beautiful home, we truly enjoyed our stay! We loved the well maintained atmosphere of the home, and the owner's knowledge that he shared. Playing the player piano for us was a delight. Our bathroom was very nice, it had a great shower. Breakfast was so delicious!
Disliked: The bed and side chair in the room was uncomfortable, which made relaxing in the room not very doable.

Very comfortable way to travel...
Liked: Staying here is like traveling back in time. An amazing experience, a touch of history. 4 US presidents, including Grant, stayed or visited the Oakcliff house in the 19th century, and you get a glimpse into their world. Everything in the house works, everything is high quality and high touch! Breakfast is wonderful. Attention to detail is incredible. John and Pam are marvelous hosts and great conversation companions! We loved it!
Disliked: Our stay was too short!

Will never forget this stay:...
Liked: The Oak Cliff was a very memorable stay that exceeded my expectations. It's better than the photos make it out to be. It is literally filled with museum quality furniture and art, but is not old and dusty feeling. Very clean and fresh. It is a unique opportunity to actually sit on furniture you can normally only glimpse in a museum period room exhibit. So cool. Every piece, every room, is fascinating and beautiful and filled with incredibly designed antique pieces, even the toilets. Tip: look closely at the art on the walls; you will be impressed. The piano is an unbelievable Steinway Dual Art from 1929 that can auto play music recorded on scrolls by the era's best players! It's incredible. And if you know how to play, be sure to test your skills on the Steinway as well. My girlfriend played for John and myself and it was a wonderful experience. Don't forget to have John give you a tour of the place! Also the view out back, over the Mohawk river is absolutely gorgeous. A truly special place and experience. If you have an aesthetic or historical bone in your body, you should visit.
