Comfortable stay
Liked: Staff very friendly and helpful. Every piece of furniture is unique. The style of the room is very nice. Free snacks and drinks available for guests at anytime. Breakfast was very good.

Excellent, friendly, clean and comfortable
Liked: Excellent friendly service, easy checkin and checkout.Cleanliness, comfortable bed, good night sleep. The room felt like we were in a home not a hotel.The view from the window of the park. Everything needed was provided and much more. Variety of Snacks and drinks anytime, good breakfast!

Extremely dissatisfied!! Not at all...
Liked: Close to where I had to go
Disliked: We are handicapped and was a struggle to climb a very steep stairway to 2nd floor. Owner did not offer first floor while it seemed unoccupied. It wasn't until we checked out that a first floor would be offered the next time. There was no water coming out of the cold faucet in the bathroom sink. This was reported immediately and the owner said there was a leak so that is why the cold water was shut off. He said he would put it back on but never did. Garbage was never removed from the only waste receptacle in the bathroom. There was 3 days worth of it and never emptied. The wet towels for our 3 night stay was never removed.It just piled up each morning. We had to get our own towels ourselves. The shower was over a bathtub. Even with a step stool provided my wife could not step onto the bathtub to take a shower. Again,the owner should have moved us to a room that had a step in shower. The room smelled of mildew. A very disappointing stay. I would not recommend staying here. The breakfast was not good. The eggs were from a powdered mix. The bread seemed stale. The cold cereals were all sugar variety.

Liked: The decor was outstanding, very calming influence in our stay.
Disliked: The bathroom was a little outdated and I almost slipped in the bathtub. Would have preferred a shower rather than a tub.

Great stay in a historical...
Liked: I loved the hospitality and the location. The fact that they had free snacks and drinks was also a plus. The room was a good size room.
Disliked: I didn't like the fact that the room had to have a window unit running all night to keep it cool. I like to sleep with it being quiet, plus with the unit running, it was hard to hear the TV. The building is over 100 years old so it was understandable why the rooms had window units. Other than that, I was completely satisfied.
