Great place to stay hope...

Disliked: Bathroom was clean but did not like shower over bath

A fabulous weekend stay

Liked: A fabulous place to stay. The hosts were great, the room was fantastic and it's in a great location being just a few minutes from the seafront but still in a quiet spot

Misleading, despite saying they could...

Liked: Our room was spacious and we appreciated the two comfy chairs in the window. The bathroom was very dated and had definitely seen better days!
Disliked: The breakfasts were abysmal. I emailed ahead to ask if they could provide vegan breakfasts and the reply was affirmative. No such thing though. At breakfast time we asked for soya milk (or any plant milk), the waitress went to the kitchen where the owner was cooking and came back to say that he had forgotten to get some!! He didn't even have the common courtesy to come out and apologise, that really did set the tone. So no milk for cereal or in tea/coffee, ie no cereal for us. The cooked breakfast arrived and all we got was half a tomato, a small portion of baked beans and a couple of hash browns, nothing else to replace or make up for what would be a full cooked breakfast (ie vegan sausages, mushrooms, extra tomatoes or beans), it was half a breakfast. The worst of it was that not a word was said, no apology, no explanation, no friendly enquiry as to how they could make it up. We left there still hungry. Totally unacceptable and utterly appalling! Occasionally things can and do go wrong but we judge a place not by what has gone wrong but how the problem is resolved and whether there is an apology, explanation, some responsiveness - we had none of it!

Really relaxed enjoyable stay

Liked: I can't think of another hotel in Llandudno that my partner Pauline and I have enjoyed staying at as much as The OakAlyn Hotel, we received such a warm welcome upon arrival by our hosts Steve & Andrea who are a lovely couple, A huge bonus for us was the free off street guaranteed parking, allowing you to use your vehicle and return to the spot you left instead of the usual driving around looking for parking and ending up 2 or 3 streets away from your hotel, as it happened we didn't use the car because everything we needed, the Sea Front, the Shops, were a short walk away. Are room was very clean and comfortable and the Breakfasts fantastic,
