Amazing location and property!!!

Liked: The location, staff and history of the property are amazing. The decoration takes us back to another time.Breakfast and snacks were delicious!
Disliked: Just the room could be a bit cleaner (cobweb, etc.)

I would not recommend to...

Liked: The only thing that we liked was the location. It was very central and walking distance to the main places to see in Vancouver.
Disliked: First of all, the place doesn’t look like the pictures advertised. This is not a B&B but a house with a breakfast included. When we arrived (before 5pm) as requested in our check in email, we were expecting to meet the owners or someone at least. Our check in experience was summarized by two envelopes left on the desk by the entrance with our room keys. I was not expecting the red carpet but at least to have some interactions with the host to get some information about the area, etc …. Nothing. The rooms have carpet that need some serious cleaning or renovation. We booked two rooms (the master suite and the south suite). Both rooms had carpet with some stains/bleach marks that doesn’t look clean for the price we paid. In the master suite, the toilet seat needed to be replaced. Then the breakfast is only from 8am to 9:15am with a last refill at 8:45am. We spent 3 nights there and the breakfast was scrambled eggs (mostly dried up) with bacon/potatoes and some pastries (scones or croissants that were not fresh but always dried up from the day before or frozen pasties). Nothing looked fresh. The staff though at breakfast was always very nice and friendly so nothing to complain about them. They are just employees and are doing their best. They also don’t clean your room unless you asked for fresh towels. That’s it. Last they have a backyard with a table and some chairs/armchairs in the back of the property. But everything was dirty when we tried to have a drink there one night. The table and cushions were gross with birds droppings. This was the worst experience. I was traveling with my parents and was looking forward to our last nights in Vancouver before flying back home. Unfortunately I would definitely not recommend this place.

Liked: A real authentic Vancouver house with lots of traditional features and furniture. Easy walking distance of main parts of central Vancouver. A great choice for breakfast, all delicious. The ability to make a hot drink, store food in the fridge and use the microwave was really useful. The lounge are was also super cozy with a welcoming log fire (I was there end of March).
