One of the best hotels...

Liked: Beautiful rooms which were very tastefully decorated. The incredible bath, and the food!
Disliked: There is nothing not to like! If anything the room was too warm, easily fixed by opening a window.

Hotel feels like it is...

Disliked: The room heating was switched off. It was 15 c in the room. My wife asked at 22:00 for the heating to be switched on which it duly was. But only for one hour. The room remained cold. The same thing happened on the second night although the temperature was 16c on that night. Why not have the heating switched on so that the guest can adjust the radiators rather than be controlled via reception. The in room safe was not secured. In other words it could be carried out of the room. We took our valuables with us. Soaps and toilet rolls were not replaced. I had to ask reception for a roll on the first night. For £160 per night we expected more. Breakfast was good only spoilt by wafer thin paper serviettes

Liked: Beautifully decorated, thoughtfully furnished. Excellent breakfast. Lovely grounds and plenty of parking. Quality bedding, towels and toiletries.

Liked: The gold cup day event was fabulous. Our 2nd time going. Great value. We stayed overnight as well, and that was lovely
Disliked: Would rather order breakfast, but it was self service. That would be ok but it was not warm enough
