Pleasant

Not a pleasant experience

Liked: The staff were so lovely and accommodating and the room was in pristine condition. It was so close to the central train station which made travel very easy!
Disliked: The hotel was undergoing renovations and we had to go to a separate hotel to avail of breakfast, which was not ideal. There was no kettle in the room either, which is standard for every other hotel I've stayed in. The noise outside was unbearable, it is a very busy area and there were groups of unsavoury people loitering 24/7, blaring music from loudspeakers. We couldn't open the window due to the noise, even though the weather was so hot. We did not sleep well at all and the area did not feel safe.

Disappointing.

Liked: Reception staff so friendly.
Disliked: Outside the hotel so many drunk and homeless people. Every time we either came in or out of the entrance, we witnessed drugs being sold or taken. Not worth the almost £500 for two nights. Screaming and shouting all night in the streets can be heard from the rooms. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Had a walk to another hotel for breakfast. This was not as advertised either. Not a B&B as paid for. We did not feel safe. I would like some compensation really. Even the receptionist said about the homeless problem in the area.

Liked: I like the location and the break first.
Disliked: My room was out to the street. Lots of noise and screaming

Good

Liked: Centrally located. Rooms are spacious and clean.
Disliked: The area around the hotel felt a bit unsafe. The decor is old. Bed was uncomfortable.

Liked: The breakfast was wonderful. There were so many offerings to choose from and wonderful quality. The location was perfect. The staff was gracious. Loved the high ceilings and tall window in the room to bring in fresh air as we chose.
Disliked: I can't think of anything.

Ok

Liked: Bed is comfortable and clean rooms. Check out time is 12:00 totally perfect if you sleep late or went to concert. Breakfast is just the standard breakfast but it would be nice to have some Wurst or Bacons.
Disliked: No Airconditioning. So it will be super Hot in the Summer and when the Window is Open the Noise from the street is too loud. There are drunk Homeless bystanders at the Entrance and You have to leave the hotel premises to park your car in the garage from the other Hotel and Parking is not included. 15euro per day.

Avoid at all costs

Liked: Not much. The breakfast was acceptable.
Disliked: This hotel is very old and in a really bad location. We were put into a renovated room which had no aircon and we had to try and sleep with the windows open, whilst hearing drunken and drug induced screaming and shouting all night. The hotel is advertised as a 3 star, but more like a 1 star. Not what I would expect in Germany. We were charged over Euro 200 per night for this tiny poor room.
