Very good
Liked: The staff were polite and helpful. The hotel as a whole is nice.
Disliked: We had 2 rooms, one of it (triple room) smelled bad probably from cooking (the rooms have kitchen) it was disturbing. The lady in the reception was apologetic offered us to change room in our second night. Gave us air freshener but the odor was really stubborn.

Lovely decor, nice (coolish) seasonal...
Liked: The pool was lovely. It opens some time in May till at least late September. It is not heated, so be prepared for relatively cold water, although we got used to it very quickly and spent an hour or more in and out of the pool. Despite what one review says, about 30 percent of the pool gets the sun by about 10.00 i(n late May anyway) and it gets progessively sunnier during the day. There are umbrelllas for shade. The breakfast was extensive and pretty good, although I am not sure I'd pay for it separately if not included in the price. The curtain in the middle of the room was a very nice touch to separate the main bed from the sleeping sofa. The staff at reception were really helpfuil until I had a problem with lost property after departure when the communication broke down. The common area downstairs is really tastefully done, with comfortable seating, lovely lighting, and even very good snakcs and small meals to heat in the microwave that are in a fridge and can be purchased from reception and heating in the rooms.
Disliked: There was a slight smell of drains in the batrhooms in the room, and the bathrooms seemed a bit plasticky. My main issue is that I had a problem wihen I unfortunately left my charging cable and adaptor in the room and I noticed this close to 8pm on the evening after daparture. Although I was in quite a panic about this, and explained everything to the staff member on reception over the phone in very good French the person at reception did not get back to me at all to follow up at any stage even though I was really desparate. I needed a cable for my phone to be able to do any of the activites planned for my hoiliday and even to be able to take my train back to Paris (the tickets needed to be shown on the phone!). The next day was Sunday, which made it even more problematic to find a replacement cable. I provided my phone number but the staff member did not ring back either that evening with an update or even the next day. I would have expected there to be a lost property box that he could check as soon as I called, and a good system for following through on such requests which must happen often. Charging cables are so vital nowadays. I will be more careful with mine from now on but a better lost property system would help.
