Novotel Sheffield Centre

Ideally situated between the railway station and the city centre. Good service and comfortable room.

Liked: Comfortable and the curtains blocked out any light at night.
Disliked: If you take the keycard out of the slot which allows you to use the lights when you go out, the sockets stop working, meaning your phone/computer isn't charged on your return.

Liked: Friendly staff.
Disliked: Cost of breakfast.

Liked: Travelled for work. Location- Centrally located. Close to Sheffield Hallam University (where we had the conference). Stone throw away from high street. Breakfast- 6/10. Not much vegetarian options. Could offer some options on yogurt- only one boring variety. Parking- £18pn. Plenty of spaces. Room- Poor. No air conditioner, Ibis a few miles away where a couple of colleagues stayed was cheaper and offered the luxury of an air con, which was much necessary in the hot weather. Staff- The reception lady was not welcoming, not a smile or a hello- was very mechanical and non courteous for someone in the hospitality industry. Overall- Not a good value for money. Do not recommend unless no other reasonable options around the area.
