Desk staff were very pleasant...

Liked: Location was good. Staff were pleasant.
Disliked: When I booked I was given the option for a rollaway for the rooms then I was told it wasn't an option after I'd paid for accommodation. Misleading. Wasn't told about $200 bond until arrival. Rooms were very run down. Bathroom ceiling had paint peeling of the ceiling. Grout missing in shower. Carpets weren't vacuumed properly. Carpet was wet in one spot. There was a water leak from somewhere. Went to have a coffee and there was a lipstick mark on the side of the mug, not cleaned from last people that staying in the room. Cleaners are very slack. Lamp shades had water stains all over them. Wifi was atrocious. Missing bottle opener from drawer. Ordered room service once and they got the order wrong.

Liked: The lift was broken upon arrival. The parking is not at the property and a little difficult to get too. The pool was also out of service during our stay.

This hotel needs a bit...

Liked: Beds were reasonably comfortable. Buffet breakfast and the bar area (for drinks, coffees and snacks) was good. Basic gym and pool was enough to get a decent workout in. Location is excellent.
Disliked: The hotel felt dated and in need of a refresh and deep clean. The double room wasnt particularly big for 4 people when you account for the 2 double beds. But not a huge problem when you aren't spending much time in the room other than to sleep.In our room, the toilet seat (inner rim) was all darkened and yellowed. There were some gunky clear-ish residue on the table in the room which "could" be cream that was dried and caked on. I hinted a smell of smoke so maybe other guests were smoking in their rooms at night. The towels have lost any fluff that it originally had. Basic gym and pool is ok although a sauna to accompany the spa and pool would be welcome.Service wasnt too bad, however the staff at reception was scant when there were lines of people waiting to check in. And the queues of people waiting to check in blocked the main pathway to the guest lifts which were on the other side of the main desk. It isn't the most well thought out layout. When you consider all these factors, it doesn't come across as the best value...
