Convenient Location
Liked: Convenient for the motorway and not located in a city. Hotel very proactive to make sure guests with a vehicle log the rego on one of the several screens to avoid a parking fine.
Disliked: Restaurant and morning breakfast staff a little laid back; had to call out to find someone.

Liked: Very close to motorway, not far in taxi to old Trafford cricket ground (we travelled for a gig)
Disliked: Staff were maybe not as warm as other hotels, felt a bit pushy with breakfast and then were rather blunt after that, not much interaction upon check out either.

Better than expected with food,...
Liked: Room was good with comfortable bed. Breakfast,they ran out of sausages! but had them the following day. Staff were pleasant. It was clean and tidy throughout the hotel. Parking was good.
Disliked: Not enough outdoor seating. Only 3 tables and about 12 chairs. On a hot sunny evening, the opportunities to sell more drinks outside was missed.

Not as great as expected...
Liked: some of the guests were nice enough and the hotel looks good on the surface
Disliked: Not happy as this hotel was terrible for service which we did not expect.Absolutely blind sided - this wasn’t highlighted when booking otherwise I would not have stayed here due to the fact that signal and service were highly important for this stay.I was supposed to work remote from Novotel and could not do this as there was absolutely no service and the WiFi was terrible! The entire hotel power also kept cutting out causing more problems with internet to work. Due to this I very inconveniently had to take 2 days leave off work instead of working remotely while I was here for the rest of my time because the service/ WiFi had not allowed me to work properly and I could also not use hotspot as there was no service for mobiles either.I also did not like the fact that our room was not cleaned during our stay, on our second day the cleaner had not arrived I spoke to who I believe may have been a cleaning staff manager to assist us with this when we left for the day but when we arrived the bed did not seem to be made at all - 0 efforts for hospitality and we had to ask for this to be done!The shower was not hot on the first night and in fact broken / cracked on the shower head which means it was leaking while trying to have a shower.The tv was not working either we was told there was a streaming service which did not work, the connection did not allow any type of functionality and again when I mentioned this to a member of staff on day 2 he said it “may” be due to the power outage “but it should come back on” (which it didn’t) Again I had to ask about more things that seemed to not have been working in this hotel instead of having a pre warning or brief update which would have been appreciated.We also had a fire alarm go off for about 20 mins during a time I was attempting to have a zoom call which on top of the WiFi and service being bad could not continue and had to cut short!!
