Hotel Description
Located in the heart of the Geelong waterfront Novotel is just 1476 feet from Eastern Beach. It features a heated indoor pool a fitness center a restaurant and bar. Each luxurious room features a balcony and free WiFi. The Novotel is 1969 feet from central Geelong and 1.2 mi from East Geelong Golf Club. It is a 10-minute drive from the Spirit of Tasmania Terminal a 20-minute drive from Avalon Airport and a 1-hour drive from central Melbourne. Located on level 2 the In Balance Fitness Center features cardiovascular equipment and a steam room. After a work out you can relax on the outdoor sun terrace overlooking Steampacket Gardens. Located on the ground level the restaurant features an outdoor dining area buffet breakfast freshly baked bread and barista coffee. You can enjoy lunch and dinner in the Waterfront Restaurant. There are 6 function spaces available for meetings conferences weddings or special events. The air-conditioned rooms feature a 32-inch flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Each room has an en suite with a walk in shower and hairdryer. Please note from 5th June until 15th September 2023 our Waterfront Restaurant will be relocated to Level 2 in the Moorabool Lounge offering Breakfast and Dinner.

Nothing to add.

Liked: Accommodation good and up to usual standard of Novotel. Beds comfortable and room service generally good.
Disliked: As with most hotels, minibar prices a rip off. Particular criticism would be that menus for Tempo restaurant and room service were based on assumption that people travel in pairs and prices quoted and serving sizes were ‘shares’. This is a deterrent for people who travel alone - and it is unfair. Would also be good if menus could include a soup option.

Liked: Ideal room, location etc for two elderly people.The complimentary bottle of Champagne for our birthday.
Disliked: The TV.

Location is super. A nice...

Liked: Good sized room, nice balcony and the chaise longue added extra comfort. The shower was excellent
Disliked: The room cleaning has to be demanded if staying more than one night and they did not vacuum the room just cleaned the bathroom and changed towels. The pillows are both the same, rather than two different thicknesses which would give many more options.
