Disliked: I was given a room with no tv control and when asked to change my room i was told i couldn’t. Spent a night with no entertainment, no happy and won’t use Novotel again

Liked: Staff in reception friendly as was bar staff and we was able to mix with others from our party till well into the early hrs in the bar and pool table.Room serviced for our 2nd nights stay and bed had fresh linnen.
Disliked: Shower had black mould in it and was not nice to use. Needed a good scrub after every visiter has left. The walls in the room had tea stains up them in a couple of places so wasnt impressed with the overall cleanliness when it came to deep cleaning between guests.Breakfast was £29 for the 2 of us and was disgusting. Hardly any thing there and what was there was cold. Low cost budget fruit juces was witnessed being topped up after the cheff complained to the only member of staff in the dinningroom. Apartfrom in reception we only saw 6 staff in the 2nights we stayed, they were polite but not attentive in any way.On our arrivel at night the front entrance looked very inviting all light with spots, however in daylight the grounds was very untidy with weeds everywhere and ciggerette butts.Wont be staying there again im affrade.

Superb, dog friendly hotel.

Liked: Comfy bed, had a great night's sleep! Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and very tasty. It was good to have an area to eat breakfast with our dog. Our dog loved the large grassed area at the back of the hotel, much needed after a long car journey.

Restaurant closed- no food options....

Disliked: Check in was from 3pm. Arrived at 5pm and our room still wasn't available to check in for nearly another hour.The restaurant in the hotel was SHUT due to lack of staff, so we have NO FOOD OPTIONS on a Sunday evening- the precise reason we picked the hotel to have a stopover to break up a long drive to have a rest and refuel ourselves. One member of our party has mobility issues. Staff didn't help with getting any deliveries so had to drive around Coventry on a Sunday evening with hardly anything open. Ended up having a sandwich as most things closed.Exhausted. The opposite to a restpite.
