Basic accommodation close to A75

Liked: Property is well situated close to the autoroute and has a big pool. Staff are friendly and bed was comfortable.
Disliked: We arrived on a busy weekend in August for one night while heading south. There was one person at reception causing a queue to check in, it took 15 minutes. The room was clean but very basic, for £200 I’d expect better. Breakfast was not included so we didn’t bother, check out was slow as well.

Rubbish. Not remotely ‘4 Star’

Liked: I am very unhappy with Novotel. I got to my room to find the shower drain was blocked so it is unusable as it floods the floor. I then tried to use the safe and it was broken. I then tried to call the reception and the phone didn’t work - I could hear them but they couldn’t hear me! It was late and I had to feed my son so I didn’t have time to queue up at the desk as there was 5 people in line and only 1 staff. So I just gave up at that point. So I had to carry my bag around to dinner. The restaurant was like a scene from faulty towers. The waiters just ignore us most of the time and I asked one for a drink and they instantly forgot and did something else. Bizarre. I will never come back to this disaster hotel again.
Disliked: Whoever cleans the room should inform the manager that 1) the safe is broken2) the shower is broken3) the phone is broken

Great location with pool for...

Liked: Great location with a pool, perfect for a single night stay when traveling. Staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed on the third floor and enjoyed a quiet night's sleep.
Disliked: The hotel restaurant is expensive and the food wasn't great either so I'd avoid it. Breakfast was included with the room and ok-ish, but nothing fancy obviously.
