Central, clean location. Great service...

Liked: Room 1201 is clean an executive suite so we received free mini bar which was a great treat. I have travelled to Christchurch for work before and stayed at the Novotel, i loved the staff and that's why it was my first choice again this stay. The staff are first class, helpful but also with a personality and offer assistance and a good laugh. Will always stay here for any future work trips.
Disliked: Nothing, i love this hotel.

Liked: Good location, very helpful staff, good quality rooms and very high housekeeping standards.
Disliked: Parking was a TOTAL nightmare! I have stayed at this property several times before, but never had the car with me. This time we did have the car, and it was a nightmare from start to finish.We arrived and found no visible clue as to where we should park, so we circumnavigated the block several times and finally only managed to access the hotel car park by making an illegal right turn.Two days later we needed to use the car, and on our return found the illegal right turn no longer worked because the traffic was too busy, so we spent HALF AN HOUR trying to navigate the most user-unfriendly one-way system in the Southern Hemisphere before FINALLY managing to find our way in by a legal route.DO NOT use this hotel if you are driving unless you are totally familiar with the urban planning nightmare that is post-earthquake Christchurch. And for this we paid $25 per night...

Liked: We enjoyed the friendly staff taking time to chat with us.The great view from our room and the comfort of it.
Disliked: The shower did not work properly. It all came from above. The wall button would not go in. We screwed it in as it was very loose but it still did not come out through the shower head, It was room 808

Liked: Great location - center of the city, very convenient to travel around the town.
Disliked: Would be better if the staffs could assist more on transportation service - suggest the options for car parking or best public transport around the town.
