Excellent hotel for a city...

Liked: Pool and spa area were great. Location was close to Cardiff town centre so we could walk to our meal. Breakfast was excellent

Liked: It was reasonably priced and breakfast was good. Anthony on reception was very nice

Liked: 10 minutes walk to the Utilita arena/town and great breakfast
Disliked: Well, there was no conditioner in the conditioner bottle and one of the lifts was a bit creaky

A stylish, modern, welcoming hotel,...

Liked: Great style. Built adjoining a former dock building, the old-meets-new juxtaposition works well. Spacious, bright and well appointed rooms and public areas, kept clean and tidy at all times. Excellent breakfasts. Staff always friendly and keen to help. The hotel is conveniently close to the city centre and station, but also in quite easy walking distance from the bay.
Disliked: Minor points only: In my room the air conditioning would not adjust below 19 degrees, and the television did not have radio channels available. Temporary glitches I'm sure, bit I missed Radio 3. Access to the hotel is geared to car park users more than pedestrians.

The hotel was awful

Liked: That it was close to the centre
Disliked: That the TV didn’t work and despite being reported on the first day maintenance never fixed it after chasing multiple times a day for the whole stay.It was unclean, mould growing in the shower, earwig in the bed.One side light worked but was hanging off and the other didn’t work.The smoke alarm was out of battery.The aircon didn’t work.The toilet roll holder was broken.There was a light socket left bare that had previously caught fire.The pool was so filthy we didn’t want to go in it.No mini fridge as described.

Excellent, really enjoyed

Liked: Room and facilities very clean, staff also very friendly too, the reason I use Novotel always around the UK and France.
