Disappointing, upsetting.

Disliked: Cleanliness and Communication IssuesWe checked in about an hour after the stated check-in time. Although we were told our room was ready, it clearly wasn’t. When we entered the room, the toilet and bathroom had not been cleaned, and there were not enough towels provided.The next day, when we returned to our room after 5pm, we found that the toilet and bathroom still had not been cleaned. There was no toilet paper, the room had not been vacuumed, and the surfaces, including the coffee/tea station and coffee table had not been wiped down. The teaspoons were also dirty.I raised these concerns with the manager, who said she would ask the staff to clean the room to their standards. However, when we returned around 6:30pm, the room had still not been serviced. After I showed the manager a photo of the toilet, she apologised.I have never stayed in a hotel or B&B with such poor standards of cleanliness. I have asked for refund for one night but I believe we should have been treated with respect and they should refund more than the one night price.

Disliked: the staff got our food wrong once during lunch and when we ordered room service later they said they'd bring it up in half an hour, after multiple calls to them to see where the food was, my partner went down after over an hour and they had made the food and just forgotten about it. The food was cold and they did give it to him for free but it was still a bit ridiculous.

Disappointing

Liked: All very new and clean. Staff were very polite and accomodating
Disliked: 1. Booking.com does not highlight there is no free parking available. It costs £14.75 to park in the station car park2. Booked a room for 2 adults and 1 kid. Kids bed was not made up and no sheets for us to do it. We arrived late and a long day of driving, far from ideal3. Decor is style over substance. Ridiculous taps in sink cannot fit anything bigger than a child party cup under it to get water. Similarly, huge ornate shower head but water pressure is pitiful
