Liked: Friendly staff, convenient location.
Disliked: Bed and pillows weren’t that comfortable and it was very hot in the room but opening the window meant mosquitos would fly in from the standing water on the roof outside the window. No AC, but fans are provided. Shower water pressure was also very low.

Liked: The hotel was in an excellent location and all staff were very friendly polite and helpful. Our room was spacious ,clean and had air con which was very welcome.The large fridge was useful for cool drinks and snacks from the nearby supermarket and the room was cleaned every day. Free tea ,coffee and drinking water were all provided in the lobby .There is a tram stop just adjacent to the hotel which was very convenient. We were very happy with all aspects of our stay in The Nova Hotel and would use it again
Disliked: As other reviews mention ,there are steep and winding stairs in the property, which may not suit everyone but it is the nature of many establishments in this historical city.There is a lift in the Nova though,and the stairs don't really need to be used. l only mention them in case it would affect someone with restricted mobility .

Liked: Great location, easy access by foot or public transportation to Amsterdam sights. My family enjoyed the breakfast. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Disliked: We had no air conditioning in the room on the 1st floor and had to open the window as it was very hot. However, street noise (there were 2 benches right below the windows and they were being used by people in the midnight and after) made it impossible to sleep, had to change the room.
